Per le applicazioni mobili più impegnative che richiedono l'esecuzione  di diverse attività in un intervallo di tempo limitato, il robusto dispositivo EDA (Enterprise Digital Assistant) Dolphin® 7800 di Honeywell offre funzionalità multiple di elaborazione, comunicazione e raccolta dati a una velocità di livello desktop, consentendo agli operatori di svolgere il proprio lavoro a prescindere dalla posizione in cui si trovano.
Gli operatori mobili hanno bisogno di dispositivi leggeri e compatti, progettati  per garantire i massimi livelli di robustezza e maneggevolezza. Dotato di un telaio interno in magnesio e un involucro in plastica di alta qualità, il Dolphin 7800 fornisce la robustezza necessaria per l'utilizzo quotidiano del dispositivo in ambienti impegnativi, senza l'ingombro supplementare che spesso caratterizza i computer mobili per uso industriale.
Un ampio schermo ad alta risoluzione, con ottima visibilità all'esterno e in posizioni fuori asse, consente di aumentare la produttività e visualizzare i dati più facilmente in qualsiasi condizione di illuminazione. Le opzioni  multiple di tastiera permettono alle aziende di scegliere la configurazione più adatta alle esigenze dei propri operatori sul campo. La tecnologia Adaptus® Imaging 6.0 consente la scansione rapida di codici a barre lineari e 2D in varie condizioni di illuminazione, mentre una fotocamera a colori integrata permette la perfetta acquisizione di immagini e video. Il Dolphin 7800 integra inoltre i più avanzati livelli di tecnologia wireless, inclusa un'opzione radio definibile tramite software che consente il passaggio istantaneo tra le reti GSM e CDMA, garantendo una copertura di rete costante e costi inferiori per quanto riguarda il provisioning e l'implementazione dei dispositivi. Inoltre, il Wi-Fi integrato consente l'accesso ai dati critici attraverso il nuovo standard superveloce 802.11n, pur continuando a supportare i protocolli a/b/g precedenti.Se un computer mobile per uso industriale risulta eccessivo rispetto alle necessità, il robusto sistema EDA Dolphin 7800 di Honeywell costituisce un'alternativa affidabile e conveniente in grado di offrire agli operatori mobili versatili funzionalità di raccolta dati e comunicazione in tempo reale in un formato compatto e leggero.
